Police notice re snow on cars

Good Morning Jackson!
Although spring is around the corner, we are still in the grip of "Old Man Winter", with more snow on the way.  Here's a reminder about an important law regarding snow on your vehicle.

Negligent Driving (265:79b), also known as Jessica's Law, requires all motorists to clear snow from their vehicles prior to driving.  Failure to do so has resulted in terrible crashes and damage, usually to other people!

Fines range from $310 dollars for a first offense and upwards to $700 for subsequent offenses.  License loss or other more serious charges are possible too.

Take a moment to look at you vehicle after a storm and clean off ALL snow and ice.  That extra step could save lives!
