Beware of Scams!

Attention Jackson Residents!
It is scam season and it is in full swing! Many residents have received calls regarding hacked accounts, IRS audits, and the like. Remember;
DO NOT give out personal information over the phone or internet without being sure it is a legitimate company.
DO NOT believe anyone who says they have a warrant for your arrest and you need to pay a fee or bail. (we don’t call ahead when we have a warrant, we just show up…Surprise!!!)
DO NOT pay any fees of alleged bills upon request with gift cards, this is ALWAYS a SCAM!
