RE: COVID-19 Update

For Immediate Release:

Residents have been asking for clarifications on various economic re-opening guidelines that are being released on a daily basis by Governor Sununu’s Economic Re-opening Task Force: https://www.nheconomy.com/reopeningtaskforce . As lodging establishments begin re-opening on Friday, June 5th, we would like to take this opportunity to share the following information:

1.    The Lodging Guidelines ( https://www.nheconomy.com/getmedia/83055cb5-734e-4103-b908-4f7b91d0090a/... ) state that, for out of state guests, lodging facilities "should require.... a signed document from the guest(s) attesting that all the person(s) staying at the lodging facility remained at a home for at least 14 days before arriving in New Hampshire." This is not a mandatory requirement, but lodging facilities are strongly encouraged to notify each guest of this recommendation at the time that the reservation is made. Businesses may create their own attestation forms and set their own document retention policies for these forms.

2.    Short term rental owners can begin to rent their homes again, provided they follow the Lodging Guidelines. The guidelines apply to "All rented accommodations..." including "short term rentals that were restricted under Emergency Order 27."
