2/19/2021 - COVID Vaccination Update

The rollout of the COVID vaccination process in NH over the past weeks has been a test for many in patience, access to technology and access to transportation. Neighbors and friends have come together to help each other sign-up through the online Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS), or call into 2-1-1 for assistance. If you have your own email address, but need access to a computer, please contact the Jackson Public Library as they have computers available and staff that can assist you with the process. If you do not have your own email, please call 2-1-1. 211NH is the connection for New Hampshire residents to the most up-to-date information from specially trained Information and Referral Specialists that can assist you with the vaccination registration process.

The number of doses that are being delivered to the state each week determines how many people are able to be vaccinated. Memorial Hospital is the closest COVID vaccination clinic for residents in Jackson and Bartlett. It is still recommended that eligible residents schedule within the VAMS system, picking any location and the first available date, even if it is not until May or June. As more doses become available, Memorial Hospital’s vaccination clinic staff and the State will be working through VAMS and 211 schedules to try and reschedule patients to earlier appointments. If you are a Jackson resident eligible in Phase 1b and need additional help scheduling an appointment, please contact Jackson Emergency Management Director Emily Benson at missembenson@gmail.com or 603-986-2197. Bartlett residents should contact Bartlett Health Officer Vicki Garland at vicki6157@aol.com or 603-374-0917. If you have an appointment scheduled and need a ride, please call the Gibson Center Senior for Senior Services between 7:30 am and 3pm at 603-356-3231 or call Carroll County RSVP at 603-356-9331.

Complete information on NH’s COVID Vaccination Plan, including how to schedule an appointment, can be found on vaccines.nh.gov. We can all work together to keep our community safe and healthy in the months ahead by continuing to wear masks, staying at least 6 feet apart, avoiding crowds, washing our hands and getting the vaccine.
