Friday, November 18, 2017, 7 pm
Whitney Community Center, 10 Black Mountain Rd, Jackson, NH
The Friends of the Whitney Center and the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire are excited to present acclaimed singer and dancer Veronica Robles and her Mariachi Band in a Friday-evening concert for all ages. The program of lively Mexican and Latin American music takes place at the Whitney Community Center, 10 Black Mountain Road, Jackson, at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 17.
Accompanied by her Mariachi ensemble, this energetic singer delights her audience with her beautiful voice and spontaneous wit. During her performance audience members will have the opportunity to listen and also to sing along — and to dance. Her repertoire is comprised of traditional Mexican rhythms, her original songs, some English tunes, and melodies from other Latin-American countries.
Her Mariachi Band ensemble includes Willy Lopez, music and band director, lead guitar; Max Trullenque, bass player; and Michael Berkely, trumpet player. Lopez was a popular ballad singer and songwriter in South America. Trullenque has been playing bass for the better part of his life and has had many successes developing music projects spanning several genres. Berkely was the recipient of the Composers’ Scholarship at Berklee College of Music where he currently studies.
Tickets cost $5/children, $10/adults, and $20/family. Discounted tickets are available in advance online at www.aannh.org. All those interested are welcome to attend; those who can't afford the ticket or workshop price can pay what they can or come as guests of the Arts Alliance.
